Secret Life of Pets

Is the first Feature Film I worked on at Illumination MacGuff. It was a lot of fun to explore the different Characters during Pre-Production and amazing to see the finished movie at the cinemas. Here is a Trailer of the Movie including Work by all my Colleagues. For a look at the shots I have animated please feel free to contact me for my Showreel Password.

Out of Bounds

Is the bachelor project I was working on in a team of 7 and a half at the Animation Workshop in Denmark. My areas of responsibility were animation lead, editor and story on this 3D animated short made in Maya. We finished production and the film was released in January 2014. Take a look at our 'Out of Bounds' Blog if you like or watch the movie below.

Log-line:

A young good-hearted man, suffering from Asperger syndrome, protects himself from the outside world by hiding inside his house and following a strict daily routine. When a wrong delivery threatens the life of his only friend, he is forced to face his fear of the outside world.

Lost in the Funhouse
Is a project made together with the Students of the National Filmschool of Denmark. In this short I have been animating in Blender. The Animation Style mimics the movement and feel of wood puppets being moved by real pupeteers.

Orakel

Is also a project made at the National Filmschool of Denmark. Animating using After Effects a quirky kind of Cut-Out animation was made.

'Guitar String Marked Fingerprints' - Music Video for 'Dust Covered Carpet'

This animated Music-Clip for the viennese band "Dust Covered Carpet" was produced as a Group-Project at the University of Fine Arts Vienna and consists of Puppet-Animation and Pixelation Sequences. The Characters are made up of differently structured materials representing different Instruments. Whereas the story draws upon the Lyrics of the Song reflecting topics like diversity and humanity in the music business. The parts I did by myself were: animating the character of the bug and the forest & city scapes as well as doing color correction during the post-production process. Concept, animatic, production and post-production were done as a group, where everybody did a bit of everything.

Light

A Stop-Motion Animation centering around the Theme of „Light-Traces“. This movie was made for the „Experimental Photography“ course at the University of Arts in Linz by taking long exposure photographs in a dark room and using torches as drawing utensils. Social interaction and communication played a major role in the production process as well as in the concept. What happens if a steadily changing group of young adults designs short sequences? Everybody leaves traces in the film. Thus ^Light° became a collective thinking process. Similar to an abstract sentence it leaves its interpretation to the viewer. Nevertheless topics like freedom and breaking free from social expectations appear and reappear. ^Light° was shown at the Frame-Out Festival in the „Museumsquartier“ and at the ASIFA Animation Platform in Vienna.
